JOB DESCRIPTION:

WeddingWire seeks a full-time Senior Director of Marketing who will be responsible for driving the B2B marketing strategy for WeddingWire. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and oversee the strategy and implementation of all B2B marketing initiatives, with a focus on driving acquisition growth and increasing user engagement. The Senior Director of Marketing will be the leader in developing integrated B2B programs, where having experience in targeting SMBs and functioning in close alignment with our sales and product management teams is mandatory. The success of this position will be measured in terms of brand impact, lead generation, revenue growth and member retention. WeddingWire is looking for a seasoned marketing professional that thrives in a high profile position and has a proven track record of developing and managing effective teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and drive integrated B2B marketing programs that drive local revenue, increase product adoption and improve member retention
  • Oversee B2B product launches, including project planning, product pitches, announcements, and training documents
  • Develop core value propositions and ensure consistent branding approach across all channels
  • Align cross functionally with the Sales Management and Product Management teams to bring products to market, refine and enhance the offering, and maximize the market potential
  • Work cross functionally with marketing services, including Digital Marketing team and Marketing Communications team, for support with lead generation programs, branding and messaging strategy, and events
  • Identify B2B partnership opportunities to grow brand awareness
  • Oversee B2B analytics to measure effectiveness and reach of programs while continually optimizing campaigns to improve performance and maximize marketing ROI
  • Drive market research initiatives, including surveys, wireframe testing, field research, advisory boards, and competitive intelligence
  • Oversee management of WeddingWire’s external B2B partnerships
  • Speak at industry conferences on the latest marketing strategies for SMB’s
  • Serve as a manager and mentor for the B2B marketing team

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7+ years of marketing experience through multiple channels: email, website, social media
  • A Bachelors Degree in marketing or related field with a strong academic record. MBA a plus.
  • Expertise in building and managing effective teams, as well as the ability to effectively drive strategy amongst key decision makers.
  • Must have knowledge of core principles and practices of product marketing and evaluation of its effectiveness
  • Experience working cross functionally with product management, sales, operations, and other marketing functions
  • Experience with customer segmentation strategies
  • Strong communication, project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing skills, copy/editing skills
  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, details and professionalism
  • Strong analytic skills and a consistent focus on improving marketing ROI
  • Results oriented drive and strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
